Our place based work

Children grow up within a family, they make friends, play on streets and in parks, go to clubs. They live in real cities, towns and villages, all of which are very different. Every child lives in a place, among a local community. The Mighty Creatives works with local communities to help children access inspiring, creative opportunities.

The Mighty Creatives find new ways of harnessing the best local ideas and opportunities. We map and mine local talent and expertise to give children and young people the chance to create within and for their communities. We do this through the partnerships we build and the projects we deliver.

Our Projects
  • Act4Change collaborates with local community groups on social action projects that create inclusive, long-lasting, transformational change.
  • Emerge Festivals are multi-site arts festivals where content is generated and performed entirely by young people, overseen by schools and youth settings.
  • Risk:Change aims to interact with different target audiences, by building connectivity between new migrants and settled inhabitants of multicultural EU communities and aims to address the pressures faced by migrant communities and the communities that are hosting them.
Our Partnerships
  • Cultural Education Partnerships - develop a shared local vision and secure investment to increase access to life changing creative opportunities for children and young people in both schools and non-school settings.
