Whatever the nature of the ‘practice’ a Creative Mentors brings, your creative offering represents only a small part of the role.
The possibility of enhancing your practice may be at your fingertips but it’s human nature to work with what is familiar and comfortable – what we’re most sure and confident will ‘work’ – so this potential often goes untapped.
This session explores the importance of sensory input, especially for traumatised young people, and how you can adapt your practice to enrich the sensory – as well as the creative – world of the children you support, without feeling ill-equipped or needing to learn a new creative skill or artform.
With an emphasis on sharing practice and reflection, we will:
