Are you a young person in Peterborough or the surrounding area?

Do you want to see young people more involved in Peterborough’s arts and culture?

The Alliance are looking for 8 passionate and diverse young people (aged 16-25) to join them in helping improve arts and culture in Peterborough.

  1. Every child and young person is represented in Peterborough’s cultural ecology.
  2. There is visible action, rather than just words.
  3. We are environmentally conscious in our actions.
  4. We empower emerging artists and creatives in Peterborough.
  5. We champion children and young people in decisions about their city’s arts and culture.
  6. We celebrate our ever-changing city.

We’ve developed some commitments, showing what we stand for, but we can’t change things without help!

What would this look like in practice?

We are committed to valuing our young people, paying a rate of £30 an hour. Furthermore, due to our connections with the Peterborough Alliance, we are able to offer perks such as free theatre tickets!

We are currently planning work alongside a young artist in Peterborough, to deliver a project at a local secondary school. The Collective and the artist plan to meet with a small group of older students at the school, empowering them as leaders to help deliver an arts project to younger students – all the while showing how the arts is an exciting and viable career.

If this sounds like something you’d want to be involved in, fill out the expression of interest below. You can write your answers, send them by video or audio, or even write us a song if you want! We love creativity – there is no pressure to write long answers, just tell us what you’re like as a person.
