The Mighty Creatives welcomes three new trustees to its board

New appointments set to strengthen The Mighty Creatives’ strategic development plans to reach more under-represented young people through person-centred creative interventions.

The Mighty Creatives (TMC) are delighted to announce that three new Trustees have been appointed to TMC’s Board, chaired by Christine White. Charlotte Robey-Turner, Jack Farnhill-Bain and Melanie Robinson bring with them a wealth of experience and expertise across youth employment, youth engagement, finance and governance.

These new appointments come at a significant time for TMC, with the charity less than six months into the delivery of a new ambitious five-year business plan. Following a 700% rise in referrals to the charity’s core Creative Mentoring service in 2022, TMC is seeking to tackle the social injustices faced by the most unheard and under-represented young people in society. The charity is focused on growing its existing portfolio of young person-centred programmes and expanding to reach young people on a national scale.

Jack Farnhill-Bain comments:

I’m excited to join the board of The Mighty Creatives and start championing youth voice, employer engagement, and creative mentoring. I love music and the arts; I hope to work alongside the TMC team to continue widening access to the arts for young people, whatever their background.

Charlotte Robey-Turner comments:

As someone who has worked and lived in Leicester all their life, I’m delighted to be joining the board of such a vital and ambitious charity which delivers fantastic and much needed support for young people locally and across the country. I’m looking forward to sharing my experience so we can be bolder in having young people leading our organisation and go further in capturing the incredible difference we make through our projects and campaigns.

Melanie Robinson comments:

I wanted to join the TMC Board as I am committed to the vision and believe in its potential to make a significant impact for young people. Being part of the board allows me to contribute meaningfully to this cause. I possess skills in finance and governance, which I believe can add value to the board’s efforts and help guide TMC toward its goals.

I hope to achieve long-term sustainability and growth for TMC by contributing to the development and implementation of strategies and by supporting initiatives that enhance TMC’s capacity, whether through resource development, volunteer engagement, or partnerships.
