Are you between 7 and 16 years old and staying creative during lockdown? Have you started a new creative hobby and want to share your skills? Want to be considered for a special Be Mighty Be Creative award?
We know so many of you are continuing to be creative by making, dancing, singing, writing, photographing, painting and drawing your way through lockdown and we at The Mighty Creatives want to recognise your creativity.
We are inviting all young creatives from across the East Midlands between 7 and 16 years old to take part in our #StayMightyStayCreative Challenges as part of our Be Mighty Be Creative Awards 2020.
How do you get involved?
Well, each month between now and September we will be setting a new creative challenge for you to take part in. All you need to do is #StayMightyStayCreative and create a piece of work inspired by the challenge.
Once you have created your piece of work, it is time to share it with us by following these steps:
1. Share your piece of artwork on yours or your parent/care giver’s social media pages. (Do not forget to tag us @mightycreatives and use the #StayMightyStayCreative hashtag!)
2. Download our permission form and complete it with your parent/care giver (this is so we have permission to share your piece of work.)
3. Send your submission with your completed permission form to us at email@example.com
Your submission will then go to a panel who will shortlist all pieces to the final few! The finalists will then go to public vote. Finalists will be invited to our Be Mighty Be Creative Awards later this year where the winners will be announced.
What sort of challenges can I expect?
We have 4 different themed challenges (but we can’t tell you them ahead of time- it’s a secret!).
What we can tell you is that these challenges will be around the following four art forms: Visual Art, Verbal/Written Arts, Performance Art and Digital Art.
Keep your eyes peeled on our social media platforms for more information.
How many awards are there?
For each four art forms, there will be two awards (one for 7-12 year olds and another for 13-16 year olds), so a total of 8 awards up for grabs!
If you have any questions, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to our Be Mighty Be Creative family, and remember to #StayMightyStayCreative.
Our Be Mighty Be Creative campaign runs all year round and ends with a celebratory awards night in the autumn.
The purpose of this exciting campaign is to share and support the endeavours of the children’s workforce and celebrate children and young people as the next generation of talented creative leaders and producers.
We’re putting together a series of exciting digital activities for young people to engage with throughout the year.
