Background
Creativity Collaboratives Nottingham, led by Welbeck Primary School, is a national 3 year programme funded by Arts Council England and the Freelands Foundation. A network of 12 Nottingham city schools have developed a community of practice with an overarching research question: ‘How can we improve the way our schools nurture children’s innate creative capacities and sustain their curiosity about the world?’ The programme is providing opportunities for children, teachers and creative practitioners to work collaboratively to explore what it means to be creative in this rapidly changing world, and reflect on ‘Teaching for Creativity’ approaches.
