Join us as one of our amazing Creative Mentors, Dean Leivers, shares how he uses photography in his practice working with children and young people.

This session is completely free for members of The Mighty Creatives’ Creative Mentoring pool and has been made bespoke to our Creative Mentoring programme. This is an optional training session.

With more mentees sharing an interest in photography we thought that a session on accessible ways to use photography in a session would be a great way to start the new year. The session will look at how you can take photographs only using the things you would have on hand in a mentoring session.

This session will take you through how Dean uses these accessible photography skills in sessions, with specific examples of ice breakers and main activities giving you the chance to take part in some photography activities. The session will also include information on editing software that is free and how to use it.

Please do make sure you have a device capable of taking pictures, your mobile phone is the perfect thing or a tablet. If you are bringing a tablet though then it would also be good to bring something that can hold it in place. The session will also include a short walk from the venue to a local park, so come appropriately dressed for the weather.
