Let’s Talk Letchworth: Youth Ideas for the Future –You’re Invited!  

If Letchworth could change one thing to make life better for young people, what should it be?   

That’s one of many questions we want you to help answer.  

At Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, we believe that change should happen with young people, not just for them. That’s why we’re inviting young people and the people that work with them to take part in our Youth Collective journey, creating a space to share ideas, and help shape what Letchworth becomes next.  

We’re kicking off this journey with a Workshop designed to help us connect, get to know each other, and begin building a collaboration that puts young people in to influencing roles across Letchworth.  

What is the Let’s Talk Letchworth workshop?  

It’s an interactive evening where:  

• Youth groups connect with each other and the Heritage Foundation  

• We explore what change could look like across different areas of life in Letchworth  

• We work on creating a plan that helps us support you as youth groups and allow young people to engage in making Letchworth a great place to grow up   

We’ll be talking about many themes like: Health, Wellbeing, Money, Skills, Nature, Sport, Leisure and Culture. Meaning there’s definitely something here for you.

Venue: Broadway Gallery, 2 The Arcade, Letchworth Garden City SG6 3EW 

Date: Thursday 5th March 2026  

Time: 5:30pm – 8:00pm  

Workshop Plan

5:30 – 6:00 | Arrival with food and drinks available  

6:00 – 6:40 | Welcome & introductions to opportunities across Letchworth  

6:40 – 7:15 | Exploring key themes: what’s working, what’s missing  

7:15 – 7:25 | Break  

7:25 – 7:45 | Group feedback & discussion  

7:45 – 8:00 | Wrap-up & next steps  

Who can take part?  

Please feel free to invite:  

• Up to five young people per group who are aged 16–25  

• Who use Letchworth as their main place for study, work, or leisure  

• Who are interested in sharing ideas and shaping change in the town  

What we’ll provide  

• Local transport costs covered  

• Pizza plus fruit and healthier options  

• Care costs covered if needed  

Why should you join this workshop?

This Workshop is the starting line for real change for young people in Letchworth. By coming along, you’ll meet the Heritage Foundation team, connect with other youth groups, and start building ideas together.  

You’ll get a say in what’s happening in the town, explore our plans and current projects, and help shape how we can support you in ways that actually matter to you.  

This could spark a brand-new collaboration between youth groups, kick off a youth-led festival, or simply be your moment to say, “This is what Letchworth needs.”  

We understand that the timing may not work for you as a group leader. You’re welcome to pass this invitation on so young people can attend and represent your group. You can also nominate another leader from your organisation to come on your behalf.
