What would the world look like without music?

Welcome to the third blog of the ‘What would the world look like without…’ series. You can check out last week’s blog which focus on a world without performative arts here.

This week, I’ll be looking at what the world might look like if music no longer existed.

Without music, life would be a mistake ― Friedrich Nietzsche

We all listen to various forms of music, but did you know that animals use music to communicate? Birds chirp a song to attract mates and whales communicate through a method called song.

So without further ado, let’s have a look at what could be impacted if music disappeared.

Example 1

Goodbye to a good jam! Obviously the first thing everyone would notice would be no music. No more dancing in the rain to some slow tunes, and no more blasting out some good pop.

Example 2

Music is created from sound, so we can also say bye bye to any noise ever. Hello to a real world ‘A Quiet Place’.

In conclusion

That’s it, no more noise. Whoever needed ears anyways?

Music is such an intricate part of our everyday life, not only in human society, but in the natural world too. All living things alike use music to communicate.
