about the project

As part of our Youth Voice work, we’re partnering with Voluntary Action Leicester to work with up to 45 young people aged 16-25, supporting them with their next steps after education through creativity.

We’ll be working with two artists of different disciplines to work with groups of young people and support them through their Bronze Arts Award in different venues across Leicester City.

The project is part of a partnership project, titled Creative Futures. The overall project’s aim is to develop young people’s skills, confidence and employability. Alongside the art-based sessions, Voluntary Action Leicester will be providing employability and volunteering support to young people.

The project will be delivered at two venues in Leicester City between September 2025 and February 2026, with one artist based in one venue. Having consulted with young people, we are looking for two artists, each of one of the following artistic disciplines and working in the corresponding locations:

• Graffiti/Street art – to work at The Grove Community Club, Braunstone (evenings)
• Multi-disciplinary Visual Artist – to work at Ellesmere College (SEND group), Braunstone (school time)
